Ready for some easy fireplace mantle decorating ideas? I styled the same fireplace four different ways. So, whether your style is traditional farmhouse, eclectic, or minimalist, below are several ideas to inspire you.
Eclectic
For this first fireplace mantle decorating idea, I place a beautiful wreath centered above the mantle. A pretty bow with French words was a perfect addition. Next, two candle sticks with varying heights was placed on the left side of the fireplace. Be sure to place the tallest candlestick on the outside of the mantle, and the short candlestick on the inside.
I love old books, but the ones I wanted to use looked too short. So, I found an old wood box to help give the books the height they needed. Two adorable bunny bookends flanking the old books completed this look!
Rustic
I found a unique architectural piece. The character and charm of this piece of gorgeous. It was placed in the middle of the mantle. Since this piece is so large, there was no need to add much more to the mantle. I chose two glass jars, and added greenery branches. They softened the entire look of the fireplace mantle.
Traditional
A large clock always looks great above a mantle. The dark clock just pops off the white ship-lap. On each side of the mantle are glass jars filled with forsythia branches. The yellow color looks so welcoming against the white. There was just enough space below the clock to add a wood votive tray.
One More Fireplace Mantle Decorating Ideas
Minimalist
Another fireplace mantle decorating idea is hanging a large piece of artwork above the mantle. Next, find two candlesticks the same height to place on each side of the artwork. When choosing the candlesticks, make sure the scale works for the artwork. By that, I mean don’t choose candlesticks that are taller than the artwork, or candlesticks that are too short. The candlesticks in the photo are just a little shorter than the artwork and work perfect.
