Looking for a unique bridal shower front door decor?  I’ve got you covered!  This is one I created myself, and I have the pattern below so that it will be super easy for you!  This bridal shower front door decor is inexpensive yet wonderfully elegant.

Bridal Shower Front Door Decor – Easy Craft

I really wanted to create a unique and different bridal shower door decor that was both elegant, and super easy to make! I mean if you are hosting a bridal shower, time is of the essence.

List of Supplies Needed: 

  1.  Glitter Card Stock
  2.  White Poster Board – 1 Sheet
  3.  Sewing Trim Ribbon – Cut by the Yard
  4.   Bridal Wedding Picks
  5.   Satin Ribbon
  6.  Tulle
  7.  Glue Gun & Glue

 

STEP ONE –  

Cut out your bridal top.  The pattern for the top is below, simply click on the link and you will be able to download the PDF.

Bridal Door Decor Top Pattern

I purchased my glitter card stock from the craft store.  It is much thicker than the poster board.   Here are the three easy steps to create the bridal door decor pattern

STEP TWO –

For the bottom of the dress, this is really easy!

Please don’t worry about being absolutely perfect!  The measurements for the bottom skirt are 3 1/2″ for the top, 14″ on the side, and 12″ across the bottom.  You are going to cut out two skirt patterns, BUT for the second skirt add an inch to the sides of the skirt.

 

STEP 3 –

Fold over the extra inch from the large skirt pattern, and add a line of hot glue.  Then attach to the second skirt pattern. Glue both sides, as well as the top piece.   The bottom of the skirt should remain open.

STEP 4 –

Add tulle to the inside of the skirt.  Use a dab of hot glue to keep the tulle in place. Fill with enough tulle to make the skirt look full.

 

Step 5 – 

Hot glue the skirt onto the top of the wedding dress.  Apply glue to the back of the waist of the skirt and attach it to the top.

Now for the really fun part!  The embellishing of your bridal craft! 

Step 6 – 

Now it is time to embellish your bridal front door decor, however, you would like!  I found a pretty bridal ribbon at the craft store and glued it horizontally onto the skirt.

 

For the waist, and to hide where attaching the skirt to the bodice can show, you can create a beautiful sash with satin ribbon.  I also added some diamonds!  I found them in the bridal aisle with all the other bridal picks.Bridal Shower Door Decor

JD's All About Home

Well, after 5 years and 2 expansions, we are MOVING our home decor store- JD’s All About Home!  We are getting our own stand alone building in the heart of Murfreesboro, Tennessee!  Scott and I have been so humbled by the support our community has given us.  Starting a business wasn’t easy! Our friends and family have helped with every step of the way!  Our interior design business is growing, and the need for more square footage is beyond necessary!  We are so looking forward to making this special move!  Check out a little behind the scenes in the photos below.  I can’t wait to take you along on this journey with us!

This building was previously a restaurant so it has needed a LOT of internal demolition as well as a ton of white paint!  

My husband, Scott, has spent hours and hours planning out the layout of the new store.  The new home decor store will satisfy everything we need.  We will have more room for retail space and also an expanded room for the design center!

If you have never been to Restoration Cafe Nashville, it is a must see!  It is absolutely gorgeous and as they describe it, “blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality.”- Restoration Hardware Nashville. Their gallery is breath taking and always leaves me feeling inspired!  I found a super easy Restoration Hardware DIY for under $30!

The cafe inside is just beautiful.  Combining food and gorgeous furniture?  Genius!

I spotted this amazing planter arrangement and thought I could easily arrange this at a fraction of the cost!  I’m going to take you step by step on how I did this.

I created this planter arrangement using Snapdragons and Pansies!  One of my favorite DIY tips is to use a grapevine wreath in my urns.  It gives your arrangement height and character!

Living Room Ideas

I am so excited to share with you some of my absolute favorite living room ideas!  I love creating a happy inviting space and would love to share with you some of my favorite living room makeovers!

In this space, the choice was made to match the wood in the coffee and side table to the beams and mantel.  This creates a flow from the ceiling to the floor and allows the eye to effortlessly travel throughout the space.  Next, you will see the beautifully symmetry on the mantel.  I chose two tall black lanterns to sit on either side of the TV to provide visual balance.  If you are looking for more tips for decorating above the mantle- you can check out my post here!  When choosing lighting you can of course match your finishes, but don’t be afraid to have contrasting looks as seen here with the sconces and light fixture.

This living room has hints of vintage industrial style while still maintaining its traditional roots. I love incorporating industrial style into my living room ideas! Notice the touches of metal in the light fixture and coffee table and how they pair well with the wood hutch and framed art.  Although this room has many textures and character, it all pulls together beautifully.

Here is another example of mixing design styles.  In his space you can find french, industrial, and traditional decor.  How can those styles mix cohesively.  It’s about knowing how to tie those styles together through balance and careful coordination.  Notice how the hutch pairs wonderfully with the french chairs while the chesterfield sofa marries with the map art beautifully.  Always remember to hang your drapes as high as possible to create height in the room.  This is one of my favorite living room ideas!

This space is a beautiful example of a Southern home.  Keeping the drapes a simple linen hung high on the wall gives the illusion of added height, softness, and frames the windows perfectly.  Notice how light and airy the space feels.  This can be attributed to the wall and ceiling being the same color.

Check out this traditional living room.  Classic landscape art hung above the fireplace flanked by two pairs of silver candle sticks visually anchors the art.  Next, notice how the blue in the rug ties in with the blue in the ceiling- this is a great way to keep a room feeling cohesive.  Overall, this room is a great collection of texture, color, and warmth.

This space is a fabulous example of how color can be used to create dimension.  Notice the black color painted on the windows to give them height and visual interest.  Stunning!  The beautiful blue chairs pair excellently with the gold framed art which gives this space a pop of color and texture.

This lovely living room is the perfect example of stationary drapes.  When choosing drapes for a space, take into consideration what their purpose is.  If you are needing privacy and they will be functioning, then you need a rod to go all the way across your window.  If you are using the panels to frame the window and add color, dimension, and softness, then you can use a small rod on each side of the window to create the illusion of height.
