Great ideas to help you create a room fit for a prince!
I’m so excited to share some baby boy nursery themes. I have two sons that are grown now, but I LOVED decorating a baby boy nursery!
If you haven’t read my post on Nursery room ideas, this is a great place to start first. I have put together a easy plan that will help you execute a beautifully designed room.
Dreaming of the Sea
This is a stunning nursery design from Jenny of The Little Green Notebook. It is so adorable! One of my favorite things about this room design is the crib! It is from Wal-mart! I am so impressed!
This mobile is so unique and charming. Be careful and try to keep your accessories to a minimum. You don’t want to overcrowd the room. Simplicity in design is important.
The colors in this room are happy and bright. Be sure to find a comfortable rocker or chair for your nursery. Need to shop on a budget? Look for one on Craigslist.com, and then purchase or make your own slipcover.

I love the window treatments in this design. You could purchase your own solid drapery panels from Wal-Mart or Target, and add a fun drapery fabric to the bottom like shown. Can’t sew? Add the fabric with Stitch Witchery, which is a fusible bonding web that fuses the fabrics together with a hot iron.

Into the Woods We Go
Wall vinyl decals have become so popular! You can now find them at craft stores, and when they are on sale you cannot beat the price.
Check out the drapery hardware! It is a stick and antlers! Love it.
Find cool wood crates and replicate this look! This is a cheap wall decor idea that is precious.
Make your own customized wall art using wood from the home improvement store!
Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh my!
What child does not love the circus? I love the little canopy with lights on the inside. Again, if you would like to have an alphabet display on the wall, look on-line for wall decals.
The white furniture and white sheer drapes make this baby room peaceful and serene.
I love the stylish elegance of this room that was designed by Liz Levin Interiors.
Fabulous Idea for Baby Boy Nursery Themes with Animals!
This is such a cute idea. Use a stuffed animal for a tie-back for curtains. Sew a small plastic ring onto the back of the stuffed animal. Then use a 3M adhesive wall hook to attach the stuffed animal. Easy and so cute!
Modern Nursery Designs
Many nursery designs today are designed more around color and pattern than a particular theme. Chevron patterns, bright colors like orange and blue, vivid painted furniture, and classic designed rugs are what make up modern nursery designs.
Blue and green paired together is such a classic look. Don’t forget about a comfortable and colorful rug for your room.
Save money designing your own nursery. Find furniture at garage sales, flea markets, and junk stores. Paint your piece a fun color.
Learn to sew your own drapes. It really isn’t very hard. You can find a ton of step-by-step tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube.
This nursery is a perfect example of a room that can easily transform from baby to toddler. The curtains, rug, furniture, and wall color are perfect for a little man. Try to keep this in mind when deciding on different baby boy nursery themes.
I know some of you may cringe when I say this, but wallpaper is on its way back! Except for the removal of wallpaper I have always been a fan!
Create a Beautiful Accent Wall with Wallpaper!
The colors in this nursery are stunning! This modern design is from J & J Design Group. Green and Navy are two fantastic colors together. But, what I love the most is the plank accent wall! And guess what? It is wallpaper!
