Looking for easy fall decorating ideas? To me, fall is one of the best seasons to decorate! Mainly because just a few fall decorations can be inexpensive and still make a beautiful impact.
I headed out to my porch early in the morning with a hot cup of coffee. The minute I opened the door, instead of stifling thick air, I was met by a cool breeze. The temperature change was like a breath of fresh air! As I began sipping my coffee, the thoughts of fall began to fill me with excitement!
This is the time of year when I am over the hot weather. I’m tired of watering my once thriving summer flowers, which now are begging to be put out of their misery. I’m over the humidity that restyles my hair in a most unattractive way, and melts my makeup so that by the end of the day I look like Tammy Faye Baker.
Fall is a very calming season. The skies become a crisp blue, the trees begin to put on a glorious show, and much to my husband’s happiness, football season begins.
Autumn is the calm before the chaos of the Christmas season. We are all so busy, but I don’t want you to miss out on adding some fall decorating ideas to your home. I have some easy ideas using natural fall elements to help you embrace this season!
Miniature pumpkins are an easy and affordable way to spruce up a table. Add Spanish moss to the inside of a bowl, and place an assortment of pumpkins on top. What a happy and colorful table centerpiece! For easy fall decorating ideas, it doesn’t get any simpler.
Beautiful Outdoor Fall Decorating Idea
If you have an outdoor fireplace you could decorate it with wheat and candles. This is a photo I took at a local parade of homes. This look will work through Thanksgiving. What an easy outdoor fall decorating idea!
Fall flowers in an urn is one of my favorite fall decorations. Fill an urn with mums, pansies, cabbage, and a natural grass. Then place a few pumpkins around the base. This is another inexpensive fall decorating idea that makes a beautiful impression by your front door!
Do you have a cute tray you could fill with acorns? Nothing says “fall is here” better than a bowl full of acorns. I remember collecting acorns when I was a little girl. I would hold up the front of my dress and drop them one by one “the little nuts with hats.” The woodsy smell, texture, and burnt umber color of acorns still brings back sweet memories.
Taking time to enjoy life’s little pleasures can be difficult. Because, LIFE gets in the way. I promise, you will never regret taking timeout to enjoy nature’s beauty around you.

Create a Fall Centerpiece
This was a centerpiece I created for a client. I started with the galvanized trough, which I love! I placed several floral foams inside using hot glue to secure. Then I began adding all my fall florals. Once completed, I filled in the gaps with Spanish moss.
