Whether it is a flea market find, garage sale find, or just an old piece your grandmother gave you, when you take a piece of furniture that is unattractive and turn it into something gorgeous, well to me, that is something special. I try to embrace living simply, by making wise choices about how to spend money on home decor.

This bookshelf used to be dark brown. None of my accessories showed up. Two coats of white latex paint turned this piece from dull to stunning.
Who says furniture is the only thing you can paint? The fan blades that came with this fan were ugly. By creating a faux treatment on the blades, the fan went from boring to amazing.
